Building Codes

The Bradford County Building Department follows the Current Florida Building Code and the Current National Electrical Code.

The current Florida Building Code can be found at the Florida Building Commission's website. You can also find out about training on the Florida Building Code, order Florida Building Code Products, learn about manufactured structures, product approval and binding interpretations on their site.

The Florida Building Commission is a subdivision of the Florida Department of Community Affairs. To learn about the FDCA visit the Florida Department of Community Affairs' website.

The Florida Building Code includes the following:

• Plumbing Code
• Mechanical Code
• Fuel Gas Code

The Bradford County Building Department's Electric Code is covered by the National Electrical Code. Unfortunately the NEC is not available to be viewed online for free however you may purchase a digital or hard copy of it at the National Fire Protection Association's website.
